It may not be the most intuitive process, but you can now stream your favorite live TV shows, including those from Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube, to your smartphone.
The company, Plex, has released a new app that can stream live TV from up to 100 channels of live content from YouTube and Netflix to your device.
Plex also includes a “smart TV” that lets you stream to your phone’s Chromecast Ultra, which is compatible with Android TV, Chromecast, and Roku.
The app, which can be downloaded from the Plex website, is compatible only with Android phones running the latest Android version (4.3 or later).
It requires a smartphone running the Android 4.4.2 KitKat or later.
Plex says the app works with a range of devices, including tablets, smart TVs, and smart home devices.
The Plex app can be used to watch live TV, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime Video, with access to other TV services such as HBO Go and HBO Now.
To stream to Plex’s app, you’ll need to install the Plex Media Server application.
To add live TV to your Plex account, just sign in with your Plex username and password.
Once you’re signed in, you can add shows from a range, like AMC, Cinemax, ABC, Discovery, and Discovery Junior.
Plex will also add movies, documentaries, and sports.
Plex recommends that you also enable “always on display,” meaning your smartphone will always be the first device to display the live stream.
Plex is currently working on adding new channels for other services.
It has also been working with YouTube to add live-to-mobile video to the app.
Plex launched a service for streaming movies and television shows in 2013.
The feature has been available in Plex’s Android app for several years, but the Plex app is now being made available on other platforms.
