Last week, the social network announced that it would be introducing a new feature that lets users share content directly from their accounts.
Users will be able to upload videos, photos, and videos with images, and can also create links and embed links in posts.
The feed also offers live streams and events, but will not be able yet to display photos.
It’s not yet clear what type of content will be allowed to be shared with the new feature, but Facebook has promised to make it easier to share photos and videos.
“We think it’s a really exciting addition that gives people a way to share their creative works in a more powerful way,” Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post.
“That’s why we’re working on it now.”
Facebook’s plan is to make sharing videos and photos easier for users, and it’s likely that the new feed will be much easier to use.
Instagram, meanwhile, is working on its own video streaming feature, and Pinterest is also working on video sharing.
Instagram’s new feed is being built to work across devices and browsers, so the new stream won’t be able at the moment to be used across different mobile devices, as Facebook’s feed currently is.
The social network also said that it was working on a video sharing system that could be integrated into the social networking platform.
